Tracing its beginnings back to 1984, the McCaig Institute for Bone and Joint Health is comprised of basic scientists, orthopedic surgeons, rheumatologists, radiologists, kinesiologists and biomedical engineers, all working together to understand, prevent, diagnose and develop new treatments for bone and joint conditions. The institute has over 80 faculty, 80 staff and 120 trainees at the University of Calgary and the University of Alberta.
